Our major focus is to provide our clients with independent professional services that are ethical, cost effective and regulatory compliant.

CodyHart Environmental is located at Enterprise Park, Burleigh Heads in Australia’s sixth largest city, City of the Gold Coast.

Our location enables us to service clients in a 600 km to 800 km range from our base. Servicing rural and regional Councils with licensed landfills is our prime target.

Barbara is a specialist in landfill environmental monitoring and a leading researcher into landfill ground water monitoring. She will complete a Master of Philosophy (Environmental Science) in mid 2003.

Groundwater Monitoring and Remediation, the World’s leading refereed journal on groundwater monitoring, has accepted two recent research papers. One paper was on well purging and the other on analytes for groundwater monitoring.

Using the Stabilization Plateau to Estimate Optimum Well Purge Volume’ (2000), and

Optimising Landfill Ground Water Analytes - New South Wales Australia’ (2003).

A third paper, ‘Intra - Well Background Ground Water Quality Model’ will be submitted in Winter 2003. She has also presented rostrum papers at National Waste Management and Water Conferences

Barbara’s particular expertise is in the latest techniques with groundwater monitoring, supported by on–site chemical analysis abilities using field probes for field analytes such as pH, EC, Eh, DO, titration for alkalinity and free CO2, and colorimetry for all forms of nitrogen and phosphorus where applicable, provides CodyHart clients with accurate field sampling and monitoring results and perceptive interpretive reporting. Codyhart’s field sampling and reporting has been commended by a number of NSW EPA officers.

Barbara is currently researching the hydroponic treatment of septic effluent using Vetiver Grass.
Her research paper that incorporates two years of trials at a commercial site in Northern NSW will be presented at The International Vetiver Network Conference in Guangzhou, China in October 2003.

Ron Cody

Ron Cody BA, AEd, Cert T, Dip MR (APMA), AFAIM
Director/Company Secretary and Business Manager.

Ron Cody manages and markets the business and has a “hands on role “ as the environmental field technician. He is a former National Secretary of the Australian Institute of Management (AIM) and was Manager of Professional Development and Quality, AIM Queensland. He has over 20 years management, marketing and corporate training and consulting experience in the pharmaceutical and professional association industries.

Ron has extensive experience in the design, delivery and facilitation of corporate training programs in areas such as:

Project Risk Assessment
Management of Scope Quality and Risk
Occupational Health and Safety Risk Management

These skills, in addition to Ron’s qualification as lead auditor of Quality Management Systems complement CodyHart’s risk assessment capabilities.

He has over 4 years experience as an environmental technician and has technical expertise in the use of QED groundwater teflon bladder pumps micropurge controllers and landfill environmental gas monitoring methodologies.
