Groundwater
CodyHart specialises in low flow groundwater sampling that is acknowledged in the international groundwater community as the method most likely to obtain accurate samples.
Effective groundwater monitoring protocols: ie, low flow sampling techniques as used by Codyhart reduce the risk of causing premature trigger assessment and unnecessary expense for our clients.

Landfill and Gas Monitoring
Surface methane monitoring is undertaken to demonstrate that the cover material is controlling the emission of landfill gas. Methane accumulation monitoring is undertaken in and around buildings to assure health and safety against asphyxiation and explosion. Wells with restrictive caps can also be tested for methane. The level of free CO2 in the groundwater is another way of verifying that free CO2 values are indicative of landfill gas effects.
Benchmark Technique No. 17 for Surface Gas Emission Monitoring and Benchmark Technique No. 18 for Gas Accumulation Monitoring in buildings, NSW EPA (1996.30) Environmental Guidelines: Solid Waste Landfills, are used as the methane gas monitoring protocols.
Water Quality Statistical Analysis
CodyHart has been reviewing a number of statistical methodologies approved by the United States EPA in its landfill guidelines to analyse groundwater quality.
Our aim is to develop a simple statistical method that is both protective of the environment and protective against a false statistical inference that there is a pollution problem when actually there is not a pollution problem.
Environmental risk assessment is an integral part of our landfill monitoring business. Where pre operational, operational or post operational landfill environmental risk assessment is required by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), CodyHart develops in consultation with our clients, a Landfill Risk Assessment and Corrective Action Plan (LRACAP)

Landfill Closure Plans
We provide extensive research assistance to our clients in the preparation of Landfill Closure Plans.
